Sustainable Document Destruction

Together with our partner MAMMUT Deutschland, we are one of the leading providers of nationwide, data-protection-compliant document destruction, taking on great responsibility for our environment. We firmly believe in society’s shift toward higher expectations for sustainable corporate action, and we support this shift out of genuine conviction. To meet this standard, Mammut Deutschland has specialized in sustainable document destruction and works closely in this area with Steinbeis Papier GmbH, HeimatERBE GmbH, and GREENZERO GmbH. Thanks to these partnerships, we are able to guarantee a fully environmentally neutral document destruction process, making our contribution to environmental protection.

Sustainability verification for your company’s sustainability report

This is particularly interesting for corporate customers for two reasons. First, through this service, your company makes a measurable and valuable contribution to offsetting the harmful environmental effects caused by a necessary service.

Second, our sustainability verification can be integrated into Corporate Sustainability Reporting. This is advantageous, as companies will be required to prepare annual sustainability reports starting in 2024. Our support in this regard can help your company fulfill this obligation while also sending a strong signal of your commitment to sustainability.

What sets our cooperation partners apart. Many benefits for the environment.

Steinbeis turns shredded documents back into new office paper

In document destruction, it is common practice across all providers for the resulting shredded material to be sent for recycling – so far, so good.

Recycling by other providers typically results in the shredded material being turned into simple tissue paper (paper towels, tissues, etc.). This can no longer be reused afterward and is thus removed from the recyclable materials cycle. However, the multi-dimensional approach of our sustainable document destruction goes further.

Augustin Entsorgung goes the extra mile. We deliver all shredded material from our sustainable document destruction to our partner, Steinbeis Papier GmbH. There, old office paper is turned back into new, high-quality office paper.

Advantage: Valuable raw materials remain permanently within the recyclable materials cycle, as this paper can be recycled again and again. In principle, this cycle can be repeated indefinitely.

The production of Steinbeis paper is energy-efficient, low-emission, and resource-conserving.

The paper produced meets the strictest ecological criteria of leading environmental and consumer protection labels (Blue Angel and EU Ecolabel).

Our cooperation with the GREENZERO Group and HeimatERBE

In the HeimatERBE concept, ecology, economy, and social responsibility form a unified whole – the principle of “Environmental, Social and Governance” (ESG) is applied here in the best possible way.

HeimatERBE GmbH oversees long-term renaturation projects on former industrial sites in the Ruhr region. This makes it possible to offset adverse environmental impacts on a 1:1 basis. We particularly want to highlight the transparency and credibility of these projects. Their proximity also allows for visits to the renaturated sites, so you can see the effectiveness of the measures for yourself.

The company’s articles of association also stipulate that 80% of company profits must be invested in acquiring and ecologically upgrading degraded land.
