Since the beginning of the collaboration in 2021, Augustin Entsorgung has established itself as a reliable premium partner. We share the club’s values and are proud to be part of this success story. We are delighted to be a partner here in the future,” explains Managing Director Lukas Augustin, who belongs to the fourth generation of the family that built and grew the company Augustin Entsorgung.

Over 700 employees at ten locations

The Augustin Dienstleistungsgruppe has over 700 employees at ten locations. For over 90 years, it has been a partner for industry, municipalities, and commerce in Northwest Germany. The company, headquartered in Meppen, is primarily involved as a sponsor in the sporting and cultural sectors. “We want to promote the recreational value of the region,” explains Lukas Augustin.

“…that this is a good place to live”

Augustin Entsorgung has been involved with SV Meppen as a premium partner for some time. Since this season, both SVM and SCSV have been playing in the Regionalliga. “We are already looking forward to the duel between Spelle and Meppen,” says Augustin. “It’s not about one or the other. Ultimately, both play for the region and make it known beyond the borders of Emsland and Grafschaft Bentheim. They communicate that this is a good place to live. That’s why it’s a pleasure to support both clubs.”

“We are authentic”

Thomas Lindemann thanked Lukas Augustin for supporting SCSV. For the promoted team, staying in the league is the top priority. The vice chairman of SC Spelle-Venhaus explained the conditions for the club, which has 2,650 members, in the competitive fourth division. “We don’t have professionals. We never will.” This makes the sporting success that led to the Regionalliga all the more impressive. Spelle’s advantage is its volunteer work. “We are a village club. We are down-to-earth, but we are authentic.”

“Utilizing synergy effects”

In principle, Lindemann notes, “we look for our sponsors in the immediate vicinity. Meppen didn’t really belong to that in the past. Today, we are happy to find companies beyond the borders of the Samtgemeinde. They are also much easier to find than in the past because we are naturally more present and interesting for other companies. Especially when it comes to finding employees.” There are synergy effects. “We want to use those together. Then it’s a good fit.”

The Augustin company reacted immediately during a difficult time for the zoo, significantly increasing the usual minimum contribution and taking over the naming sponsorship for a bison calf. This helps the zoo not only now but also in the future. The company’s workforce was allowed to vote on the name, and so the little bison girl was christened “Karla.”

As part of the project, young animals are fitted with a transmitter to research more about their behavior and way of life. Augustin Entsorgung supported Tierpark Nordhorn with a donation of 2,500 EUR for this project. A qualitative survey is being carried out to gain important insights into the various species and their distribution in the region. The entire Grafschaft Bentheim is divided into minute grid cells to ensure systematic and comprehensive data collection. Anyone interested in the protection of amphibians and the preservation of their habitats can volunteer and state their preferred areas for participation in the field study. This allows for broad public participation and promotes awareness for the protection of this threatened group of animals.

Researching amphibians and their habitats in Grafschaft Bentheim is of great importance for initiating the necessary steps to protect and preserve these fascinating animals. It fills us with joy and pride to support this project.
