Disposal of oil-contaminated operating materials

Oil-contaminated operating materials arise in many areas, for example in workshops, metalworking companies or industrial production. These include oil-soaked cleaning rags, absorbents, oil and fuel filters, as well as all operating materials that come into contact with oil.

For storage at our customers’ premises, several container systems are available, ranging from large waste containers (MGB 240 litres / MGB 1.1 m³) to ASP and lidded skip containers. The large waste containers are emptied at our customers’ premises using side loaders. Our side loaders have BK2 approval and ensure safe handling of oil-contaminated operating materials.

The downstream disposal routes are material recovery, for example oil-contaminated metal items that can be returned to the material cycle, or energy recovery. In this case, waste with a high calorific value, such as oil-contaminated cleaning rags, protective clothing, filter materials or similar fractions, is used as refuse-derived fuel.
