We are pleased that in January 2025, Augustin Entsorgung was honored by the Energieeffizienzagentur Landkreis Emsland (EEA-EL) as one of ten companies to receive the “Climate-Conscious Company” award. This award recognizes our commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability at all Augustin locations. Our efforts toward climate protection and resource conservation encompass a wide range of initiatives. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Innovation & Technology<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability and environmental protection hold great importance for us. That’s why we invest specifically in forward-looking technologies, develop innovative solutions, and challenge existing approaches to break new ground. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Photovoltaics for self-consumption: <\/strong>Over 90% of the electricity produced by our PV system is consumed directly on-site. This not only reduces our ecological footprint but also increases the energy efficiency of our operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transition to electric mobility:<\/strong> By gradually converting our vehicle fleet to electric vehicles, we’re setting a further example for sustainable mobility. We have also installed fast-charging stations for electric vehicles at various locations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNG vehicles:<\/strong> To reduce our carbon footprint, we are also increasingly relying on CNG vehicles. CNG produces lower pollutant emissions and a lower CO2 output compared to conventional fossil fuels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Efficiency<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our goal is to simplify processes, use resources more efficiently, and sustainably improve structures. Through continuous optimization of our operations, we balance ecological and economic aspects. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Use of waste heat: <\/strong>The waste heat from our compressor system at the Meppen site is used efficiently to heat the administration building and the halls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Replacement of old, inefficient machinery: <\/strong>We continuously invest in modern machinery and equipment to replace older, less efficient machines. This also saves energy through a higher degree of efficiency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
